  • Residents of Maharashtra (domicile)
  • All citizens of India
Eligibility for application
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Science, Arts or Commerce stream and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • And
  • The candidate should appear for SVUET* 2026 and should obtain a non-zero score in this qualifying examination

About Somaiya Vidyavihar University Entrance Test (SVUET)

Somaiya Vidyavihar University Entrance Test (SVUET) is the entrance test for admission to First Year BSc Sports and Exercise Science program for the year 2025-26.

This entrance test will not have any negative marking

Mode of Examination

SVUET 2025 will be conducted as an online exam and will have objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs)

Choice of Medium of Question Papers

The medium of Question paper will be English

Eligibility

The candidates who have passed class 12th / equivalent qualifying examination and have filled in the application form can appear in SVUET 2025 examination.

List of Qualifying Examinations (QE) for SVUET

  • The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central/ State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy
  • Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.

Admission Process

Step
1

Candidates will be eligible to apply if she/he has passed class 12th / equivalent qualifying examination Exam with a minimum 45% aggregate.

Application form fee is Rs. 900/- which is neither refundable nor transferable under any circumstances.

Students will be graded on their class 12th passing percentage (Weightage 20 points)

Students needs to upload their best three sports specific performance certificates on the Application portal

Students will be graded on their Sports Proficiency Level (Weightage 20 points)

Students needs to undergo the Physical Fitness Test

Students will be graded on their Fitness Levels (Weightage 20 points)

Students will appear for an offline interview in front of the panel

Students will be given points on the basis of their performance in the PI (Weightage 10 points)

A provisional seat will be offered based on the merit and availability of seats taken together. The candidate will be communicated via email about his/her offered seat or waitlisted number.

Important Instructions

  • A candidate who is offered a seat needs to pay Rs.1,00,000/- as per stipulated admission schedule (i.e. deadline) to secure the same
  • Candidate who does not pay the requisite amount as per the deadline will lose his/her claim on the offered seat during that phase.
  • A candidate who has been allotted a provisional/ confirmed seat as per his/her first choice, and fails to secure the same within the deadline, his/her candidature will not be considered in further rounds of that phase.
  • A candidate who has applied for more than one phase will be eligible to participate in subsequent phases even after he/she has secured his/her seat in earlier phases.
  • At any point of time, candidates will not be permitted to hold two seats in Somaiya Sports Academy
  • Cancellation rules are available on the website for reference.
  • The last date of admission is 30th July 2026
  • The admission schedule may change under unavoidable circumstances or as per directive /instructions from admitting authorities of Somaiya Vidyavihar University. The revised schedule, if any, will be notified on the website.

  • Allotment Letter issued by the College
  • HSC or Equivalent Mark list
  • S.S.C. or Equivalent Mark-list
  • College Leaving Certificate
  • Caste Certificate, Caste Validity if candidate belongs to reserve category under SC/ST/OBC /VJ-NT
  • Adhar Card, Two passport size Photographs of the candidate
  • Maharashtra State Domicile Certificate
  • Indian Nationality Certificate (If not mentioned of LC)
  • Equivalence Certificate / Migration Certificate of Concern Board (if student passed HSC from other than Maharashtra Board)
  • Candidate has to obtain the medical certificate from Somaiya Medical Diagnostic Centre, Vidyavihar
  • Sports Proficiency Certificates

  • Self declaration of the candidate in specified format (“Gujarati Linguistic Minority Community Students Self Declaration” proforma)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy and Refund for First Year 2026-27

(As per UGC Refund Policy circular D.O. No.F.2-71/2022 (CPP-II) (C-1 14546) dated 12th June, 2024 and UGC Notification issued in October 2018)

Admitted student can apply for refund at application portal dashboard https://application.somaiya.edu/

UGC Notification issued in October 2018 on Refund of Fees clause 4.1.3 and clause 4.1.4 shall apply (clause 4.1.3 is reproduced below for ready reference)
